Can I tell you a secret? There is tremendous power dwelling inside of you. The leaves of our history books rustle with stories of great men and women who dare go up against a pre-existing culture and turn it around for the better. What is the world without individuals like Galileo, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., and yes, even Oprah Winfrey? These people took their own personal culture and nothing was ever the same again.

How does this apply to me, you may ask. Maybe you’re not planning to change the world-but you can change life within your sphere of influence, at the very least.

Culture is the established ideas and principles that a particular block of people move in. It is not relegated only to the national arena but to smaller sets of people as well like family, society and the corporate setting. Let us deal with going beyond the corporate culture and purpose life increase because of it.

During the’50s, the owner of an insurance company used to give weekly motivational pep talks to his staff. Sales jobs were highly stressful even before, so these motivation quotes were something the employees look forward to. When the owner had to leave, he pre-recorded these motivational messages to have them played when he was gone.

These recorded messages were so successful that the staff kept them long after their boss came back. In fact, the effective motivational quotes spread and to date, more than a million copies were sold. This story is based on real events and real people-more than that, you too can impact people of such magnitude.

Do you want this for your life? What are the dreams or goals that you have today? Write these down as well as the associations that come to mind when you think of these goals. Make it as specific as possible-what you have is the list of your paradigms. Once you have it in front of you, ask yourself what the reasons are for each of the mindsets you have formed throughout the years.

So now that we have all this information-what do you plan to do about it? You can be a victim or a participant but I suggest you choose to be a creator of culture instead. You can change life by changing your paradigm. Decide to adopt a positive attitude and speak affirmative words and you will begin to see what you desire your life to be.

Whether it be with motivating people in their sales jobs or improving somebody else’s life in however way they can-purpose life to be lived to the fullest by creating a culture that makes a difference. Tap into the power inside and step into the amazing journey life has in store for you.
